Avantieri (The day before Yesterday) is an installation dedicated to the Sicilian language. A research for a hypothetic introduction of the future tense which does not exist in the Sicilian dialect. A group of experts of the Sicilian dialect such as actors, singers and poets were invited to debate in Sicilian, according to a set of rules which were published in a manifesto. The experiment revealed the difficulties of the evolution of the Sicilian language and the struggle of expressing concepts regarding the future in general in the South of Italy.
