In this audio installation, which was installed in three different locations during the Open Studios of the Jan van Eyck academy - the library, auditorium and metal workshop - a human parrot repeats a text, based on historical sources related to our case studies in Valkenburg. What exactly is the role of a guide in the context of a museum: education, manipulation, indoctrination? The scene of the specific intervention is characterized by the picturesque presence of a playground for parrots hanging in the space. The exuberant presence of the voice contrasts with the absence of the subject.
