During the Open Studios of the Jan van Eyck Academy we have presented a spatial installation, consisting of ceramics and wall drawings, which was based on our artistic research into two entertainment museums that were realized in the marl quarries of the tourist village of Valkenburg in the early 1900s: a copy of a Roman catacomb and a replica of a coal mine.
