TESTI INNESTI, Museo Civico Castelbuono, August 4th 2022 / October 31th 2022. Series of 10 etching and aquatint on copper and site-specific video installation.

In this series of ten intaglio prints (etching and acquatint) on copper plates, poetic phrases have been inscribed as a sort of puzzle. These “Grafted Texts” weld different thoughts and languages – English and Sicilian – together, uniting them in a sometimes surreal dialogue despite their distant separation. Like a deliberately cryptic chat scrolling down a smartphone screen, the mysterious texts can be deciphered by those visitors to the exhibition equipped to read the artists’ mirror- writing, maybe by taking a selfie. During the four days of the Ypsigrock Festival’s 25th edition,thousands of music lovers enjoyed deciphering the etched texts relayed through the video Testi Innesti, Part II, projected on the façade of the castle.
