DILUTION CAFETARIA, Kunstinstituut Melly, Rotterdam, April 9th 2021/ March 22th 2022.
As an installation Dilution Cafetaria marks the occasion and periphery upon which the senses are registered. The work, part of The Dilution Project, refers to the 'sensory cafetarias' that were designed as spaces in which to engage all senses and introduced in health care institutions in the Netherlands in the Seventies. Troughout the exhibition, an installation of colorful ceramic textures and a charcoal drawing will periodically come alive - transformed into a set for unexpected and untimed sonic performances. The sound sculptures and 'talking wall' will be activated in a performance without logic nor sense - typical of the theatre of the absurd.
The Project was co-financed by Stichting Stokroos
